FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8

Boiler Room x BEMF: Archie Pelago, Mike Servito & Patrick Russell, JDH & Dave P, Max McFerren  [7-10PM/badge-holders]
Just announced yesterday, BEMF and Boiler Room are going to be doing a collaborative show on Friday evening to kick off the first night of the festival. And we’re kvellin so hard that our boys Archie Pelago are headlining it! We’ve been saying it for a while here, but it’s nice to see that the curators of two such fine bass music institutions agree with us; Archie is one of the most compelling and innovative live dance music acts anywhere, and certainly in Brooklyn. In addition to the usual list-only door policy, BEMF 3-day badge holders can also attend for free.

5th Birthday for NYC’s best (and only) breaks party. Deekline is coming back for another round after destroying the dancefloor earlier this year. Plus Washington DC’s breaks champions, Proxxy & Lantern, and DJ Dane in from the West Coast.

LIT CITY RAVE: DJ Tiga, DJ Uniique, Dance System, J-Cush, Durban at Passions Lounge [10PM/$5-10]
Lit City moves to Passions Lounge, which is becoming quite the hot spot for bass music lately (they also hosted Night Slugs Halloween, and Variance with Silkie). Jersey Club from Tiga and Uniique, plus club workouts from Dance System and always the freshest dark, grimey beats from the residents.

CLOUDNINE: Sweater Beats, Mursi, Helen Harris, Moneyworth, Suzi Analogue, hosted by Ponyio at the Paper Box [10PM/$15-20]
A brand new party from a crew called BANGCITY out of Montreal. We’ll give it a chance. Afterall, the lineup featuring the sweet, sexy r-n-bass music of Sweater Beats and also the talented Suzi Analogue – emcee, beatmaker and TokiMonsta collaborator. The other DJs will likely play some mix of rap, rnb and club tunes, or (if the twitter drama can be believed) perhaps even some grime.

BEMF: Plastic Plates, Eli Escobar, Project Matt, Free Magic & Faso at Cameo Gallery [10PM/$10]
A joyful lineup of house, disco and boogie specialists. Plastic Plates nu-disco edits are justly famed, but the support lineup is nothing to sneeze at either – Tiki Disco’s Eli Escobar, Free Magic & Faso from Discovery Party, and longtime friend of MeanRed, Project Matt.

Official BEMF afterhours party from the Rinsed crew. The legend DJ Funk will headline, and we’re told the other secret guests are also heavily indebted to ghetto house.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10

BEMF: Teki Latex, Star Slinger, Kastle, Distal, Different Sleep, Clicks & Whistles at Output [9PM/$15]
Definitely the festival highlight in our eyes. Teki Latex made a name for himself as the big personality in French rap group TTC, but his Sound Pellegrino label has made him a tastemaker in club music.  Star Slinger rules the blogs with his disco-y remixes, and his BEMF mix is a very good time. Kastle gets plenty of love from us, and he just dropped a new mix full of emotional, futuristic tunes indicative of the Symbols sound. But we’re most excited to see our Embassy boys, Distal and Clicks & Whistles – that label is one of the jewels of stateside bass music. They’re on early so don’t dawdle!
