THURS: Dorian Concept, Archie Pelago, DATALOG, Astrolith [8:30/$10]

Dorian Concept is one of my favorite mad geniuses. A child piano prodigy born in Vienna, he’s gone on to release a ton of great music in the last few years. He’s distinguished himself as an RBMA alum, keyboardist in Flying Lotus’s live band, and Ninja Tune signee. His live performances don’t disappoint either – I swear, dude is channelling Bernie Worrell when he gets on the keyboard. Some of the most intense and original  performance I’ve ever seen.

Support from Archie Pelago, my favorite Brooklyn 3 piece. I’ve gushed about them plenty here, but the tl;dr is cello, sax and turntables tied together with a whole lotta ableton, loop pedals, and soul. Absolutely transcendent dance music.
