Amon Tobin’s projection mapped audio/visual masterpiece returns to NYC after a sold out 3-night run at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple last October. Yes, $40 ($53 with tickmaster fees) is a ridiculously expensive ticket. But the production value on this show eclipses anything I’ve ever seen in electronic music – including Daft Punk’s famous space pyramid. Nobody has ever done anything this ambitious with visuals before, and I think it will be some time before anyone tops it. One bit of advice tho – don’t stand too close to the stage. In order to get the full effect, you want to be far enough back that you can see the whole thing easily.
